Where to Begin

It’s important to begin with Al’s understanding of the Bible—his approach and the basis for all his messages.  “What is the Bible” is a summary and  the basis for his Christian Adventure course, a detailed account of the entire Bible.  He was adamant about seeing the Bible as a whole rather than taking isolated verses out of context in order to justify personal agendas.  He believed there were many considerations in Biblical interpretation and spent hours researching and reading before each message.  He did his homework.

I cannot think of a better example of this than his message on the Prodigal Son.  He takes us into the Middle Eastern culture of that day and the implications go much deeper than the simplistic typical interpretation.  The Prodigal Son is a beautiful story with a deep rich lesson and fresh new insights.
